THELONIOUS MONK Work! (Circa 1959 UK 5-track mono LP on Esquire with 'RVG' etched in the run-offs, sonically on a par with its US Prestige counterpart, if not better. Features the modern jazz legend in Quintet [November 13th, 1953] & Trio [September 22nd, 1954] formats & with the Sonny Rollins Quartet [October 25th, 1954]. Comes housed in a unique front laminated flipback picture sleeve. Obtained from a one previous owner collection, the sleeve remains nice & clean for its age withlight ringwear to the reverse and no splits or tears. The heavyweight vinyl is Excellent to Near Mint with few signs of play. A quality press!)
