Also stars Bob Efford on tenor sax. The acetate has a Sapphire manufacturing label one side with printed date & artist details [Alan Ganley spelling]. Tracklisting & More Information

Obtained from the private archive of a jazz enthusiast of the era, these recordings have been lifted from a BBC reel tape. The source quality is exceptionally good & the acetate remains in outstanding condition. The second side of the disc is unlabelled & contains unrelated non-descript recordings of older Trad Jazz. The first side is where the action is.

The pianist is unnamed but we would presume it to be Stan Jones & the bassist either Sammy Stokes or Stan Wasser.

The first tune is unnamed but sounds like the best of the three. Answers on a postcard please!

The second tune is announced as "I Feel A Song Coming On".

The third tune is a vocal number, How Long Has This Been Going On. The vocalist in question could well have been Jo Searle, as she was booked with The Dave Shepherd Quintet to play the same session.

And those are the three tracks. Unreleased & exceptional quality. We would hope a keen British Jazz completist or professional might snap this one up.
