OBITUARY Cause Of Death (Rare 1990 Dutch 9-track LP, the second album by the influential American Death Metallers, their first & only with guitarist James Murphy [ex-Death], including a cover of Celtic Frost's 'Circle Of The Tyrants', superb Michael Whelan picture sleeve with illustrated credits inner in pristine condition. The cover displays minimal wear and the inner has no splits or rips, whilst the vinyl remains Excellent with only a few light signs of play, overall a really nice copy of this classic of the genre RO93701)

The Cover Art is by artist Michael Whelan, is titled Lovecraft's Nightmare

It was part of an H.P. Lovecraft collection Bloodcurdling Tales of Horror and the Macabre as well as being used for The Tomb and The Doom That Came to Sarnath.

The story goes it was originally intended for Sepultura's Beneath the Remains album artwork, but the label let Obituary use it first.
Sepultura subsequently used another Michael Whelan piece for Beneath the Remains.
