CHARLES MINGUS Pithecanthropus Erectus (1969 Japanese blue & green Atlantic label 4-track mono vinyl LP, manufactured by Nippon Grammophon. Originally released in 1956, this was Mingus' first masterpiece, with the boundary-pushing title piece,'Profile Of Jackie' & a wonderfully modern arrangement of Gershwin's 'A Foggy Day', housed in a heavy duty pasted gatefold picture sleeve with the original Grammophon obi. The sleeve shows just a couple of light scuffs on the back & the vinyl looks barely played MT-2008)
