CECIL TAYLOR Conquistador! (70s US 'United Artists' text Blue Note label stereo vinyl LP, one of the most commanding performances in Taylor's discography originally released in 1966, reflecting an increasing mastery of extended time in performance across these two marvellous tracks recorded by Rudy Van Gelder. Bill Dixon, Jimmy Lyons, Henry Grimes, Alan Silva & Andrew Cyrille are Cecil's backing troops, & they play like they mean business! The sleeve is VG at best due to storage wearyet all text remains clearly legible including along the spine. The vinyl reveals a couple of light scuffs but plays through to an excellent standard BST84260)
