CHARLIE MARIANO QUARTET Alto Sax For Young Moderns (1982 UK issue of the exceptionally rare 1956 8-track mono LP originally released on Imperial Records, featuring the acclaimed alto saxophonist Charlie Mariano at the helm of a tight quartet setting. Showcasing a refined West Coast jazz sound, the album includes stellar performances on tracks such as ‘Chopin Excerpts’, ‘You Go to My Head’ and ‘Mariano’. Housed in a replica picture sleeve retaining the original artwork, with detailed liner notes on the reverse. The sleeve displays just a little light shelfwear and minor scuffing, all text clearly legible. The vinyl remains in Excellent condition with only light signs of play AFF99)
