QUEEN Hot Space - Specialty Records Corporation Test Pressing (Rare 1982 US original three-sided vinyl LP test pressing manufactured at the legendary Specialty Records Corporation plant in Olyphant, Pennsylvania. Featuring their custom test pressing labels with black on white text and hand annotation in red ink. Record one is dated 4.8.82 [8th April 1982] for account ELK [Elektra] and features the A side on both sides. The hand-scratched matrices are EL.60128-A-2SP and E1-60128-A-6 SP -- 8SH-AR hasbeen scratched out and AR refers to the Allied Record plant which also cut these records. Record two, the B side, is one-sided and dated 4.14.82 [14th April 1982] for account ELK [Elektra] and the matrices are E1-60128-B- 1RE-SP. Both records additionally machine-stamped STERLING. Recently acquired from a vast collection of test pressings accumulated by a US label executive during a lifetime career in the music industry, this example remains in near mint condition.)
