There just seemed nothing left to see until... The Bear Family concluded an exclusive contract for the rights to the old 'Town Hall Party 'shows. 'Town Hall Party', if anyone is not yet aware, was the biggest country music show on the west coast between 1952 1961. The show was broadcast every Saturday evening in a movie theatre, which was in Compton, a suburb of Los Angeles. The list of performers reads like a Who's Who of country, rockabilly and rock 'n' Roll. Gene blasts out the hits 'Be-Bop-A-Lula', 'Roll Over Beethoven' and 'Dance To The Bop', these performances are of great value to collectors, with the latest digital technology used for great sound and picture!)
