FESTIVAL CHAMBER ORCHESTRA conducted by ANTAL DORATI Symphony No. 59 in A Major / Symphony No. 81 in G Major (1966 US Stereo LP, pasted picture sleeve with small deletion drill hole. Impossibly prolific, Hadyn composed over a hundred symphonies. The 81st was composed in 1784, fifteen years after the 59th, which was a product of his 'Sturm und Drang' period - so this record on the desirable Living Presence label nicely illustrates the evolution of Haydn's musical style. The sleeve shows just light shelfwear with a bit of edge scuffing and the vinyl is flawless SR90436)
