RONNIE LAWS Friends & Strangers / Flame (2010 issue UK 16-track 2-on-1 CD album - Ronnie Laws was an early member of Earth Wind & Fire and a jazz funk pioneer who first made his mark as a solo artist with the iconic 'Always There' for Blue Note in 1975. His distinctive, signature playing style is extremely soulful, sophisticated and easily identifiable. 'Friends & Strangers' was produced by Wayne Henderson following his initial departure from The Crusaders to form his new At Home Productions company. 'Flame' continues the flavour and recaptures much of the magic it's predecessor to make this a perfect coupling from a golden era of jazz funk and soul)
