VARIOUS-JAZZ The Avant-Garde (Rare 1986 US test pressing for the 'Atlantic Jazz' 8-track LP compilation, including a 12 minute version of Wednesday Night Prayer Meeting by Charles Mingus recorded at the 1960 Antibes Jazz Festival, plus key compositions in the development of modern jazz such as 'Lonely Woman' by Ornette Coleman and the jaw-dropping 'Countdown' by John Coltrane. This is likely to be one of only a small handful pressed for audio evaluation. The vinyl is immaculate, with custom hand annotated studio labels & plain white sleeve with pasted label copy sheets attached)
