THE MILCHO LEVIEV QUARTET featuring ART PEPPER Blues For The Fisherman (Very rare 1985 UK 6-track CD featuring tracks from Art Pepper's amazing gigs at Ronnie Scotts in June 1980. Long out of print, the CD contains not only the whole LP of the same title, but also two bonus tracks - 'True Blues' & 'Goodbye'. To call these performances 'magnificent' is an understatement, this is a band on top form, with Tony Dumas on Bass & Carl Burnett on Drums driving the rhythm along & the astonishing Milcho Leviev providing percussive & melodic piano at one & the same time. Art may not have seen eye to eye with Milcho from time to time, but the tension & fire of this performance will take your breath away - A classic! CDMOLE1PLUS)
