APPLE LABEL Inside Apple (Obtained from an ex-employee of Apple, who was there right through the golden [delicious?] years of 1969 - 1973, this unique collection of memorabilia is unrivalled worldwide as an incredible insight into the wonderful world of Apple. Inside a plain A4 loose leaf folder is a treasure trove of photographs, proofs, texts & trivia including the proof text for the 'Inside The Crazy World Of Apple' promo booklet along with the original Tom Hanley pictures that were used in it, several photographic contact sheets including one containing shots for the Apple Postcard & some original Koch Apple designs plus thirty four black & white photographs taken as the concept for the Apple logo evolved. This amazing collection is far too elaborate to detail here, so please see 'More Info' where I will attempt to describe as best I can what this incredible collection contains)

Thirty Four 4½" x 6½" black & white photographs of Apples. Single Apples, groups of Apples, Apples with bites taken out of them, Apple cores, Apple Pips. You name it.
It's A Granny Smith, by the way.

One A4 sheet containing an Apple design in green that appears to be the basis for the Apple watermark in some of the notepaper & the Apple in the 'Words From Apple' leaflets.

An 11" x 10" sepia tone photograph of the Apple design as on the A4 sheet.

Six sheets [& header sheet] of Xeroxed proof text for the booklet with text by Mike Hennessey, for which the final version had the photographs by Tom Hanley.

Several media clippings about Apple albums & the studio.

Nine miniature representations of Apple advert alternatives.

No fewer than thirty two large sized photographs, most in Black & White but some colour, featuring Apple Staff, Apple Artists & The Beatles at work at Apple. Many of these were part of the 'Inside The Crazy World Of Apple" project & can be recognised as such from either the photographer's stamp on the back or their position on certain contact sheets.


An incredible & unique collection. There will only ever be one of these.
The feeling while looking at this is like owning a time machine.
All of the sheets within seem to speak to you of a time that the world will never see again.
I'm honoured to have had the chance to list this & am sure that the future owner will be as enthralled as I was looking through it all.
