VARIOUS This Is The Big Band Era (1972 UK 20-track double vinyl LP compilation of original Big Band recordings, including classics such as 'Begin The Beguine' by Artie Shaw, 'In The Mood' by Glenn Miller & Ellington's 'Take The A Train'. Some of the great sidemen of jazz are featured, from Harry James, Jess Stacy & Gene Krupa, to Tony Pastor, Johnny Hodges & Buddy Rich, gatefold picture sleeve with extensive liner notes. The sleeve has an area of paper loss, which has been re-coloured black, however shows little other wear and the vinyl looks barely played DPS2019)
