BUDDY RICH & HIS BUDDIES Playtime (1960 UK 8-track mono LP on a black & white Pye Jazz label. Front laminated flipback picture sleeve with album notes by Al Portch, who quotes Buddy as "the world's greatest snare drummer". Recorded at Ter-Mar, Chicago, including Mike Manieri on vibes and flautist Sam Most [known for his killer 'Plop Plop Boom' 45]. The sleeve is excellent, one or two small nicks in the edges but otherwise superb, complete with original die-cut company inner. The vinyl[EX+] looks to have been carefully handled and played sparingly NJL46)
