VARIOUS-JAZZ The History Of Savoy (1984 Japanese promotional 42-track 3-LP vinyl set, with custom silver on white labels, opening with the Cozy Cole All Stars' 'Jericho' captured in New York in 1944 and ending on 'Consequences' by Archie Shepp &The New York Contemporary Five recorded twenty years later, taking in everyone from Charlie Parker, Stan Getz, Charles Mingus and Sun Ra along the way. The box set includes its wide obi-strip and a 20-page illustrated booklet translated into Japanese - a wonderful package! K16P-6318~20)
