BILL WATROUS QUINTET Funk'n Fun (1979 Japanese-only 7-track stereo LP recorded for Yupiteru-Atlas, which features Art Pepper leading most of the numbers here, in all but name, due to a contractual conflict with Galaxy. Russ Freeman, Bob Magnason & Carl Burnett star. Highlights include Pepper's 'Funny Blues' & a standout version of 'Angel Eyes', unique picture sleeve with Japanese insert. The sleeve is Excellent with just a little minor ageing around the edge & the vinyl still looks barely played YJ25-7024)
