GIL EVANS ORCHESTRA Svengali (1993 German 6-track CD, an accomplished merging of the new with the old, featuring the standard Summertime plus highly modern compositions such as Blues In Orbit. Evans plays both acoustically and electrically with added embellishments by keyboard wizard David Horowitz, plus a big band that includes trumpeter Tex Allen, drummer Bruce Ditmas and Ted Dunbar on guitar, originally recorded and released in 1973 - one of his best!)
