DAVID BOWIE VH1 Storytellers (2009 US advance promotional issue of 2-disc [CD-R/DVD-R] album set - VH1 Storytellers began in 1996 with intimate TV performances by Ray Davies and Elvis Costello. Over the next few years many singer/songwriters appearedon the show, performing in front of a live audience while telling stories of their music and memories. One of the best episodes was of course Bowie's 23rd August 1999 show. Comprising an 8-track CD including live versions of 'Life On Mars?','Rebel Rebel' & 'China Girl'; plus a DVD featuring footage of his full performance complete with 4 tracks which didn't make the original TV programme. Custom printed discs complete with an advance promo picture sleeve different to the commercial issue, and tracklisting back insert)
