LENNIE NIEHAUS Vol. 1 - The Quintets (1987 US issue of the 1955 12-track LP, featuring recordings from July 1954 originally issued on a 10'' Contemporary release [C2513], together with a previously unissued session from 1956. Jack Montrose, Shelly Manne, Stu Williamson, Hampton Hawes and Red Mitchell all play on these marvellous dates. The sleeve shows little sign of wear and the vinyl looks barely played OJC-319)
