LENNIE NIEHAUS Vol. 1 - The Quintets (1987 US issue of the 1955 12-track LP, featuring recordings from July 1954 originally issued on a 10'' Contemporary release [C2513], together with a previously unissued session from 1956. Jack Montrose, Shelly Manne, Stu Williamson, Hampton Hawes and Red Mitchell all play on these marvellous dates. Despite a catalogue sticker top right of the sleeve the vinyl looks barely played OJC-319)
