On 'City of Refuge', Drumbo has set out to inject new life into the style and tradition of The Magic Band. It is a craggy, bluesy, melody-laced mixture of interlocking rhythms and straight-ahead emotions and is sure to appeal to all Beefheart fans and those who liketheir music to be challenging; and sees Drumbo joined by ex-Magic band musicians Zoot Horn Rollo, Rockette Morton and Ella Guru.)
