DUKE PEARSON Angel Eyes (Rare 1968 UK first press 7-track stereo LP, a superb pre-Blue Note trio session recorded in New York on August 1st, 1961 with Thomas Howard [bass] & Lex Humphries [drums] & January 12th, 1962 with Bob Cranshaw [bass] &Walter Perkins [drums], initially for the Jazzline label, but inexplicably shelved until it was picked up by Polydor for this UK-only release in 1968. The album barely sold & is now hard to find! Comes housed in a stunning & unique fully laminated picture sleeve. The beautiful sleeve is in Excellent conditon with clean panels & just a spot of natural lifting to the laminate's spine edge. The vinyl is clean & in Excellent to Near Mint condition revealing few signs of play. A nice copy of this collectable jazz treasure)
