GRAM PARSONS GP (2008 issue UK 11-track CD album - Parsons' 1973 debut solo album, is probably the best realised expression of his musical personality. Working with a crack band of L.A. and Nashville's finest [James Burton, Ronnie Tutt, Byron Berline & Glen D. Hardin], he drew from them a sound that merged breezy confidence with deeply felt Southern soul, and he in turn pulled off some of his most subtle and finely detailed vocal performances; including 'She', 'A Song for You' and features his collaborations with Emmylou Harris: 'We'll Sweep Out The Ashes In The Morning' & 'That's All It Took')
