LALO SCHIFRIN New Fantasy (Original 1965 UK black Verve label 8-track mono LP from the king of movie soundtracks, this time in album mode arranging and conducting 20th century classical themes in a big-band jazz setting! Some choice cuts includeGershwin's Prelude No.2, Khachaturian's Sabre Dance and Ellington's Blues, overlayed with Schifrin's trademark boombast. At his disposal are a string of top New York studio jazzers including J.J. Johnson, Kai Winding, Jerome Richardson and Clark Terry, front laminated flipback picture sleeve. The sleeve shows light wear with a pen annotation to the reverse, whilst the vinyl has light signs of play leaving it Excellent VLP9121)
