Tracklisting & More Information

Mel Bush was a legendary concert promoter in the 1970's and 80's. He promoted such infamous concerts as Bowie's Aladdin Sane tour (where Ziggy 'retired'), Queens early tours and Led Zeppelin at Earls Court.

With each of the acts he promoted, once a successful tour or concert was over, Mel Bush would commission a commemorative plaque or mirror as a souvenir of the event. Usually these would be presented to the artist, with an additional one kept in his own personal archive.

The mirror measures 43" x 33" including the wooden frame and is landscape in design, it is very heavy weighing nearly 15 kilos unpacked.

The mirror is effectively split in half with the left hand side dedicated to the European Express Tour. The artist name and tour title is printed in red, yellow and blue at the top with all the dates, venues and Countries from the tour listed underneath in black.
The right hand side of the mirror is a reproduction of the poster that was used to promote the 'Summer Of '84' gig at Wembley Stadium on June 30th, which Elton John headlined, supported by Paul Young, Nik Kershaw, Kool & The Gang and others. The artists are listed at the top in blue on a yellow background and the venue, date and ticket details are at the bottom with 'Summer Of '84' text in red.

An effective design that is certainly eye-catching and remains in perfect condition since it was commissioned.
