Or Jones' intention to signal to America’s big-band fans that his newly established formation of youngsters was going to play in the ‘1st division’ along with the well-established great names? Probably a mixture of both, for what was hatched out of the egg at the end of the 50s set new standards inmainstream jazz, with stunning solos from Clark Terry and Zoot Sims, presented in sealed & stickered picture sleeve)
