CHARLES MINGUS SEXTET with ERIC DOLPHY Cornell 1964 (2007 UK 9-track 2-CD album set - Presented in it's entirety, this performance from one of Charles' star ensembles on March 18th, 1964 is regarded as one of the most joyous & exciting of his considerable career, featuring storming versions of some of the great tunes from his canon such as a half hour excursion into his own 'Fables and Faubus' & 'Meditations', a rollicking extended version of Billy Strayhorn's 'Take The 'A' Train'and Eric Dolphy's unique arrangement of Fats Waller's 'Jitterbug Waltz')
