ROBERT JOHNSON King Of The Delta Blues Singers (ESSENTIAL 1966 UK first press 16-track mono LP compilation, on the 'rough' textured plain orange label in the 'Jazz Archive Series'. Includes such historic tunes as 'Crossroads', 'Walkin'Blues', 'Me & The Devil Blues', 'Come On In My Kitchen' & the apocalyptic 'Hellhound On My Trail'. Johnson's influence on contemporary Rock music cannot be overestimated & is most vocal through the careers of Bob Dylan & Eric Clapton. The front laminated flipback picture sleeve shows a small scuffline to front cover and is otherwise Excellent, with just a little discolouration to the flipbacks on reverse. The vinyl is stunning Near Mint. The power of Robert Johnson's music is best experienced on first press vinyl, so this one comes highly recommended! BPG62456)
