QUEEN Keep Yourself Alive (Stunning genuine original 1973 UK Trident Studios 1-sided 7" acetate of the debut single. This fantastic item was recorded in summer 1973. Queen were using other bands 'downtime' - when the studio was booked for use butstood empty. The entire first Queen album was recorded in this way to save money. Studio acetates are very rare and often only a handful are produced for studio use only. See 'more info' for further details on condition of this rarity...)

The Trident Studios labels feature the studio logo, name and address printed in orange above the centrehole. Beneath the centrehole is the title of the track and band name handwritten in blue ballpoint pen.
The labels are an off-white colour with a speckled appearance, likely to be caused by the glue residue seeping through the label over the last 30 years.

The playing area of the acetate is in resonable condition, some light marks are evident, however as an acetate it is not intended to be played on your audiophile turntable and should be regarded as an exclusive piece of Queens history, not as a playable record. The contents of the acetate are identical to the released version.

Trident Studios acetates are highly sought after as they rarely turn up on the collectors market, most UK Queen acetates have 'EMIdisc' labels and only a few tracks from the first and second album were recorded at Trident.
