QUEEN Hammer To Fall (Rare genuine 1984 UK 12" vinyl single featuring the Headbangers Mix, also including Tear It Up, within the magnificent WITHDRAWN 'live' glossy picture flapback sleeve. It was always falsely reported that this sleeve was withdrawn at the request of Brian May, however it turns out not to be the case!

Brian stated on his own website in early 2007 in response to a letter asking why he requested the withdrawal of this sleeve that in fact he didn't request the sleeve be withdrawn - he actually preferred it but the record company felt that the sleeve was misleading and that the public would believe the song to be a live recording so the sleeve was withdrawn at the request of EMI.

Woolworths failed to receive the recall notice and they continued to sell the withdrawn sleeve for up to 5 days before their stocks ran out.
