KEVIN AYERS & THE WHOLE WORLD Shooting At The Moon (2015 UK/EU issue of the 1970 10-track LP pressed on 180gram Vinyl, Ayers' second post-Soft Machine album recorded with David Bedford, avant-gardist Lol Coxhill, Mick Fincher & a teenage Mike Oldfield onbass & guitar. The results reveal the true eccentric genius at the heart of Ayers' madcap Canterbury sound & is now regarded as a masterpiece of British psychedelia, listed in The Wire's inspiring '100 Records That Set The World On Fire [WhenNo One Was Listening]' [issue 175, September 1998].
