RODRIGUEZ Coming From Reality (Rare Folk-Psych 1971 US first press 10-track LP on Sussex with 'Bell Sound' etched in the run-outs, the follow-up to the cult classic 'Cold Fact' from the Detroit based artist which sadly bombed in the States, here recorded at Lansdowne Studios in London, England. Rodriguez went on to enjoy a career revival, mainly due to his success in South Africa [as documented in the 2012 film 'Searching For Sugar Man'] which, pre-internet, was kept quiet from him with not a penny's worth of sales going his way [it was also said that he hoaxed his own suicide on stage!]. This is a brilliant snapshot of those post-Dylan semi-psych protest song times & deserving of a wider audience. Comes housed in the original gatefold pocket sleeve with a special die-cut front panel, 'Ivy Duo-Pak' printed on the inside spine & complete with the picture/lyric insert. The delicate sleeve [VG+] is fully intact with no writing. There is edge scuffing & a tiny spot of paper loss to one or two corners, with all print legible. There is a small sticker mark on the front cover top right [also on the Side A label]. The vinyl remains nice & clean & in Excellent condition with few signs of play SXBS-7012)
