This legendary album is far from 'easy listening' but is none the less an essential 'must have' in any collection. Mr Van Vliet & his astonishing band took the conventional ideas about music & composition & turned them completely on their heads to create an album which still, to this day, stands as one of the benchmark recordings in history.

This copy has the ORIGINAL Straight catalogue numbers on both sleeve & labels, meaning that it was the first release in October 1969 before changing to the more common 2MS2027 number in January 1970.
As was normal at the time, the sides are labelled [& play] in the order 1/4, 2/3, to assist you when you play the record on your autochanger stacker. Luckily, this copy was played on a single disc deck & therefore avoided the dust crushing joys of stacked play!

The sleeve, due to the nature of American cardstock, shows shelfwear and slight paperloss but the vinyl is in Excellent condition. The original insert is also in Excellent condition.
