THE WOODEN O A Handeful Of Pleasant Delites (Monster British psych/folk rarity 1969 UK white label test pressing for the 14-track vinyl LP, with plain white, hand-written labels [annotated with 'Side 1 & 2 and the Cat. no'], fully laminated picture sleeve. This unsual longplayer was released by THE '60s British underground club Middle Earth [Jeff Dexter and John Peel were the DJs and John Lennon's friend John Hopkins was the owner!], led by recorder player James Harpham, the 'Wooden O' quintet managed to blend jazz, classical and psych-folk music into a very heady brew indeed. The sleeve is graded VG as there is some creasing to each corner but is free of any rips or tears and retains a nice clear, bright sheen on both sides. The vinyl is in Excellent condition with just the odd light hairline/scuff not affecting play - a fantastic '60s collectible and one we are unlikely to ever see again MDLS301)
