FREE Songs Of Yesterday (2000 UK 80-track 5-CD box set compilation, a great comprehensive retrospective of the classic blues rock band that goes way beyond just the staple hits with CDs 1 to 3 containing an abundance of alternate takes, mixes, singles masters & unreleased material, CD 4 compiles live recordings from the shows performed in Croydon & Sunderland that were omitted from the 'Free Live' album with all original microphone clicks, beeps & distortion as they were originallyrecorded. CD 5 housed in its own unique glossy wallet makes for a fantastic bonus disc of music recorded by individual members featuring Paul Rodgers with The Maytals, Kossoff plus appearances by John Martyn, Peace & Sharks! Transfered from the original analogue mixes to Sonic Solutions 16 bit mastered discs this is an audible treat both in quality & musically! Issued in a fold-out hardback digipak picture sleeve with a 60-page colour booklet packed with rare photos, session listings, annotated tracklist & appreciation by Phil Sutcliffe, all housed in a glossy outer picture slipcase. The digipak shows some spinewear and the slipcase shows some light edgewear, however the discs and contents are Near Mint IBXCD3)
