Presented by Anne Nightingale, the programme dates from early 1988 and features every song from the album interspersed with interview snippets, including the original preview on Kenny Everett's Radio 1 show. The voices of John, Paul, George and Ringo feature predominantly and contributions can be heard from producer George Martin, engineer Geoff Emerick and the sleeve's designer Peter Blake.

There are three parts to the recording with the vinyl's fourth side displaying four laser etched 'Lion' logos with 'British Broadcasting Corporation Transcription Service' perimeter text. This side is a white label. The three other sides are a pale beige and green, and state 'use expires 30.6.92 unless contracted otherwise...' below a BBC TS logo.

The vinyl is MINT and housed inside two die-cut library card sleeves.

Essentially the programme celebrates Sergeant Pepper's twentieth anniversary and confirms, on many levels, just what a landmark recording it was!

A wonderful set for Beatles collectors and completists, and a very scarce item indeed.
