SYD BARRETT The Madcap Laughs (1982 UK fourth issue 13-track vinyl LP on the green Harvest label with 'All Rights' perimeter text & boxed EMI logo, originally released in 1970. This was Syd's debut solo album finally appeared two years after leaving Pink Floyd, with Dave Gilmour & Roger Waters producing. This is a brilliant but brittle album, with every strum of the electric guitar seeming to take its toll on Barrett's increasingly frayed nerve strings.
