Recorded during the period of 1938 to 1947, the first twelve tracks
were recorded in New York in 1938 with his American Jazzmen;
featuring legends Bobby Hackett and Pee Wee Russell. The second
part of the album, tracks 13 to 22, were recorded between 1945 and
1947 with his British Jazzmen, with Jimmy Skidmore and Ronnie
