groove stereo 2-LP set of poetry readings put to Garrick's jazz scores,
both parts recorded before a specially invited audience in Decca's
Studio One, West Hampstead, including the soloists Joe Harriott and
Shake Keane. The laminated flipback sleeves show only light signs of
storage wear with age and both vinyl discs look to have been played

yellow Argo label 4-track stereo vinyl LP featuring Garrick on piano
and harpsichord with vocals from Norma Winstone, Trevor Tomkins on
drums, Dave Green on bass, Art Themen on saxesand clarinet, Henry
Lowther on trumpet, flugelhorn and violin, and Don Rendell on tenor
sax. The matt picture sleeve has slight creasing across one corner but
is in otherwise excellent condition. There are a just a handful of faint
marks on theplaying surface with a small bubble flaw visible on the
second track, however these are inaudible with the vinyl retaining a
glorious 'just pressed' lustre! ZDA154)

on the reverse. The sleeve has a slight split in the opening edge on the
back but is in otherwise excellent condition; the vinyl is

lemon Argo label 9-track mono LP, featuring Garrick on piano,
harpsichord and celeste, Ian Carr, Joe Harriott, Don Rendell,
Tony Coe, Dave Green and Trevor Tomkins. Additional drum
work andpoetry from Colin Barnes, lending a quirky,
decidedly British feel to the whole. Highlights are the Indian
raga inspired title track plus modal workout Ursula, the latter
compiled on Volume Two of Gilles Peterson's Impressed With
compilation,front laminated picture sleeve. The sleeve shows
light foxing with a little ringwear to the reverse; the spine has
a 1cm split to the middle which leaves the text unaffected.
The labels have a little foxing, whilst the vinyl itself is Near
Mint DA88)

10-track mono LP recorded live at St. Paul's Cathedral on 25th
October 1968, complete with typed insert giving performance credits &
a synopsis of the pieces performed. Also features Art Themen, Jim
Philip, Ian Carr, Coleridge Goode & John Marshall. Housed in a unique
front laminated flipback picture sleeve, this private recording was
made & released by Garrick on the tiny Airborne label at the peak of
his powers as part of The Don Rendell-Ian Carr Quintet & is now very
hard to find. The sleeve is Excellent with a few light creases in the
laminate with age & the vinyl remains nice & clean & in Excellent
condition with evidence of just one or two plays in its lifetime. Lovely!

beautiful example of the pastoral British-jazz sound. Also
features the outstanding musicianship of Art Themen, Don
Rendell, Ian Carr,Dave Green & Trevor Tomkins, front
laminated picture sleeve with extensive sleevenotes by Derek
Jewel on the reverse. The sleeve shows light ringwear
discolouration and a few spots of foxing to the reverse with
few signs of wear to the front and a nice sharp text on the
spine; the vinyl has clean labels and no real sign of play - a
wonderful copy! ZDA135)
