ASH RA TEMPEL Ash Ra Temple (Very rare 1972 transitional second pressing of the 1971 German 2-track vinyl LP which carries a six digit catalogue number on the front of the sleeve and spine but retains the five digit catalogue number of the first issue on the label, double fold-out sleeve. One of krautrocks key early releases featuring two side-long pieces, side one is an explosive freak-out with some incredible guitar work from Manuel Gotsching and drums/percussion from Klaus Schulze, side two is a super blissful ambient piece with some wonderful, understated electronics - both essential. The delicate sleeve shows some inevitable scuffing to the edges but remains fully intact, with no rips or tears to the open panels, the vinyl has some light hairlines visible and the occasional bit of background noise in some of the quietest passages, but nothing excessive - overall, a more than acceptable copy of this very hard-to-find krautrock klassic and the first copy we've ever seen in over thirty years!
