THE SMITHS What Difference Does It Make? (Very rare 1984 UK production printers proof fragile paper artwork sheet for the 12" single, measuring 25" x 15" with with registration, colour and proofing bars visible. What makes this piece of vintage Smiths artwork unique is not just that the band name credit on the front panel is missing [1st issues were like this] but more importantly the appearance on the reverse panel of the Rough Trade logo that resembles the Capitol Records logo! Early versions of previous single 'This Charming Man' were withdrawn due to the threat of legal action from Capitol's lawyers so its appearance here is unusual to say the least, and, as far we can tell, undocumented. The thin paper stock has held up extremely well and despite a small tear to one side of the border it shows only the very lightest of wear - would prove a worthy addition to any Smiths collection and would look incredible framed!)
