THE SMITHS William It Was Really Nothing (Stunning and very rare 1984 UK withdrawn RED uncut artwork proof for the 7" vinyl single front and reverse sleeve. Whilst the tracklisting for the band's fifth single was already confirmed [William, Please, Please, Please & How Soon Is Now, were all demoed by Marr in one feverish weekend of recording apparently!], this early artwork proof is in RED, completely different to the green and lilac finished sleeves. Hand annotations alongthe side bar indicate this is a '1st proof' and final decisions regarding the font and layout were still unconfirmed at this stage. Measuring 8" x 18" the item has been never been folded, remains free of creases, rips or tears and is in superb overall condition - a true rarity for the Smiths collector and just begging to be framed!)
