BEACH BOYS NME Poll-Winners Concert 1967 (Very rare original
1967 UK 16-page 5½" x 8¾" programme for the 1966-67 New Music
Express Poll-Winners All-Stars Concert, staged at the Empire Pool,
London [now Wembley Arena] on Sunday May 7th. The show featured
a headlining set from the Beach Boys, who were at the height of their
popularity in the UK following the success of 'Pet Sounds' and 'Good
Vibrations', having beaten the Beatles into second place in the 'World's
Most Popular Group' category. Other artists on the bill included Cream,
Spencer Davis Group, Georgie Fame, Paul Jones, The Move, Alan
Price, Cliff Richard, Small Faces, Dusty Springfield, Cat Stevens, The
Troggs and The Tremeloes. This item remains in superb condition - all
pages are intact and beautifully clean, with no creases, nicks, rips or
tears. Also included is an original 4½" x 3" ticket stub from the event
which is in similarly stunning shape!)
