DAVID COUSINS Duochrome (2008 UK 12-track CD album - Dave Cousins has been the leader and main songwriter of Strawbs from the release of the band's first album in 1969 on A&M to the present day. 'Duochrome' is a selection of the songs that Dave sang on his solo shows. The songs were recorded in, Chicago, Milwaukee, and Philadelphia, where he was joined on stage by dynamic fiddle player Ian Cutler, one of the aces of Feast of Fiddles. Highlights include 'Ringing Down The Years', written by Dave Cousins on the news of former band member Sandy Denny's tragic death; 'The Hangman And The Papist' once sung in Trafalgar Square to 20,000 peace marchers; and the ten minute trilogy 'Blue Angel', probably his finest work.)
