A FEW OF THE ITEMS WE WANT...
| TIM HOLLIER Tim Hollier (Knee-knockingly rare 1970 UK
11-track vinyl LP on the black Fontana label, a lost psych-folk
grail which languished in obscurity for over thirty years until
it recieved a re-release in 2007 and even then was limited to500 copies! Tull-like flutes, psych guitar, sitars and fragile
vocals which remind one of Keith Christmas with a dash of
Nick Drake, fully laminated psychedelic freak-out picture
sleeve) See 'More Info' for details on Condition ...
Tracklisting: Seagull's Song
Llanstephan Hill
And It's Happening To Her
Man Of Gentle Sunlight
Evolution
Maybe You Will Stay
Would I Sing
Love Song
It's Raining And It's Cold
In This Room
Evening Song
Condition -
The sleeve [VG] shows some chipping in the laminate along the bottom edge with just a couple from the top; the spine is largly unaffected and the text is still clear & legible with just the 'i' from 'Tim' missing. There are a few areas of print missing from the front, the most severe being a 2mm x 2mm area from Tim's cheek. The sleeve is free from seam splits and the reverse only has just a little wear with the print all clear.
The vinyl has been subject to a reaction [all too common with records of this vintage] with the lining of the original poly inner. This has left a spotty sheen in places, which whilst not particularly severe, cosmetically detracts from what is otherwise a wonderful example. There are just a few light hairline scuffs to each side and the tell-all black Fontana labels point to light play only with their scant showing of spindle wear. There is a small area of paper loss to the side 1 label due to sticker removal, with no other paper loss or writing. All in all a Very Good copy, which to our ears doesn't find itself wanting on playback! | | TIM HOLLIER Tim Hollier (Knee-knockingly rare 1970 UK
