A FEW OF THE ITEMS WE WANT...
 | THE FLIES (I'm Not Your) Stepping Stone (Impossibly rare archive
quality 1966 UK 7" vinyl single with four-prong centre; the first of only
three releases by the short-lived psych act who embodied the spirit of
the age so much by appearing at the14-Hour Technicolor Dream and
opening for Hendrix at The Roundhouse. This fantastic proto-stoner
rock cover of the Monkees' classic has gone on to feature in plethora
of psychedelic compilations including Chocolate for Your Diabetes,
Volume1 and The British Psychedelic Trip: 1966 - 1969. Also include
the melodic B-side Talk To Me. This was released in December 1966
and comes housed in an orange & white Decca company die-cut paper
sleeve with the catalogue number written in the top right corner. The
previous owner bought this when it was released, so although on the
rare occasions this record comes up for sale it's seen in the blue &
white swirl design, this is the original sleeve it was actually in from the
store when purchased [perhaps the tiny quantities made were in both
sleeves - who knows!] We have also included the other design sleeve
just to be sure! The sleeve displays very little signs of age and the
vinyl has never seen a turntable and grades a stunning Mint. An

vinyl has just a few light spindle marks and minimal surface
scuffs but remains in EX condition for its fifty five plus years!
