 | THAD JONES Mad Thad (Very rare 1958 UK 6-track mono LP in the
collectable Nixa Jazz Today series, which finds Thad breaking free from
the Count Basie band for a superb session of stylishly cool bop. Quincy
Jones, Elvin Jones, Frank Foster, Doug Watkins and many more
perform, housed in a unique picture sleeve variant to the US issue. The
flipback sleeve is in excellent condition, despite some peeling to the
laminate at the opening edge. The vinyl is a beautiful near mint NJL13)

DOUG WATKINS / ELVIN JONES Olio (Rare 1957 UK 6-track LP by a
Jazz 'supergroup' recorded by Rudy Van Gelder on February 16th that
year, unique fully laminated flipback picture sleeve with sleeve notes by
Ira Gitler on the reverse. The flimsy sleeve remains in remarkable
condition with minimal shelfwear & just a little laminate lift at the spine
and some minor age yellowing to show for its fifty five years. The vinyl
too remains in excellent condition with very little evidence of play & still
remains in the original poly inner. Complete & probably as good a copy
as you are ever likely to find of this extremely rare LP!)

some light edge scuffing, the sleeve is in great condition with minimal
shelfwear & the vinyl is superb with just a few light cosmetic marks to
