second version of the man's highly revered jazz suite inspired
by the Dylan Thomas play, recorded in London at the Wigmore
Hall on the 22nd May 1976, narrated by Donald Houston &
backed by Art Themen [tenor sax], Dave Green [double bass]
& Bryan Spring [drums]. Opens with the second take of Stan's
beautifully conceived jazz ballad Starless & Bible Black, just
as essential as the first. The front laminated picture sleeve
shows minimal wear & the vinyl is Excellent with few signs of

logo Columbia label, also starring Peter King [alto sax], Dave
Green [bass] & Bryan Spring [drums], front laminated
flipback picture sleeve with album notes written by the late
Humphrey Lyttleton & company catalogue inner. The sleeve
[EX] has some very minor ring wear, with secure flipbacks &
all text legible including along the spine. The vinyl has been
professionally cleaned & remains in Excellent condition with
very little evidence of play. Highly recommended Brit-Jazz!
