RANDY WESTON Highlife (Rare Afro-Jazz 1963 US 7-track deep groove stereo LP on a gold Colpix label, one of the first American Jazz artists to present an album of Highlife, the highly rhythmic tribal music of West Africa. Opens with a tribute to aLagos nightclub owner ['Caban Bamboo Highlife'], & ends on a Guy Warren composition ['Mystery Of Love'], including such exotic numbers like 'Niger Mambo', 'Zulu' & 'Blues To Africa' along the way, pasted sleeve with small number annotation onthe back. The cover shows some faint scuffing or mild patches of age yellowing, with all print legible & no splits. The vinyl is Excellent with light evidence of play only SCP-456)

RANDY WESTON Little Niles (1959 US 7-track mono LP, 'Recorded For The Talented Listener', also featuring Johnny Griffin on Tenor, Ray Copeland & Idrees Sulieman on Trumpets, Melba Liston on Trombone, George Joyner on Bass & Charlie Persip on Drums, pasted picture sleeve with tape reinforced edges. Thanks to the tape reinforcement, the sleeve has no splits & the spine is still clearly readable, showing just a little light shelfwear after over fifty years. The vinyl too remains in excellent condition with little sign of play - A superb copy! UAL-4011)
