A FEW OF THE ITEMS WE WANT...

KALEIDOSCOPE Tangerine Dream (Extremely Rare 1967 UK first issue 11-track MONO vinyl LP on the black & silver Fontana label - Not to be confused with the German electro band, this debut album from the band who later changed their name to Fairfield Parlour is now regarded as a classic in the Psychedelic genre, ranking alongside Nirvana [UK]'s The Story of Simon Simopath and Pink Floyd's The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn, although it sold very little at the time. This is the first copy of this legendary Psychedelic gem that we have ever stocked and it remains in spectacular condition compared to most that are seen. The non-laminated flipback picture sleeve shows a suitably groovy image of the band with sleeve notes provided by lead singer Peter Daltrey on the reverse. TL5448)
Please see 'More Info' ...

Tracklisting: This was their debut album, released by Fontana on 24th November 1967. Personnel: Peter Daltrey – Vocals & Keyboards Eddy Pumer – Guitar & Keyboards Steve Clark – Bass & Flute Dan Bridgman – Drums & Percussion Condition: The sleeve is not laminated, which means that it is normally found with considerable shelfwear & edge scuffing. Not so in this case. The back of the sleeve remains nearly white with just a few spots of faint discoluration and a little creasing & stress to the edge of the bottom flipback with no paper loss. The front of the sleeve also remains close to the way it did on the day of purchase. There is some fairly minor wear if you look closely, but that's about it. The spine is clearly legible and such shelfwear that there is remains confined to a little scuffing at the corners. You seldom see the sleeve this nice. The vinyl remains in excellent condition. There are a few spindle marks visible around the centre hole but it is obvious that this copy has not been played very often. Upon very close inspection, a few light surface hairlines can be seen on the first side but these have no impact upon play. In some of the most quiet passages there is a little ambient noise on playback but this is so minor as to be almost insignificant. It is also in MONO, the way it was designed to be heard.
KALEIDOSCOPE Tangerine Dream (1987 UK 11-track vinyl LP, the debut album originally released in 1967, stone cold Brit psychedelic classic. The glossy picture sleeve displays some minor general wear wilst the vinyl shows little signs of play TOCK005)

KALEIDOSCOPE White Faced Lady (2009 UK 18-track digitally remastered CD album - The story of a young British band that went through many changes and endured lots of adventures typifies the mood of the late Sixties, when psychedelic rock gripped the world. Kaleidoscope had released singles and albums, but was then renamed Fairfield Parlour, to avoid confusion with an American Kaleidoscope. As Fairfield Parlour, they released an album called 'From Home to Home' in 1970. This was followed by 'White Faced Lady', an ambitious rock opera recorded in 1970-71. It was shelved for many years, until restored under the Kaleidoscope banner and shed new light on the legendary 'long lost' album. The music goes through many moods over 16 tracks, until reaching a rousing crescendo in pieces inspired by the tragic story of Marilyn Monroe. Complete with a picture booklet containing the original descriptive texts for the music, plus an exclusive new interview with founder Kaleidoscope / Fairfield Parlour member Peter Daltrey, complete with authoritative and extensive liner notes by respected author and journalist Chris Welch)
